Eat My Blog
This isn’t your ordinary bake sale. Just picture hundreds of baked goodies lined up, piled up, and stacked up for your eyes to feast. Eat My Blog is a charity bake sale that took place last Saturday at Tender Greens in West Hollywood (organizers include Cathy of Gastronomy Blog, Anjali of Delicious Coma, Laurie of G-Ma’s Bakery and Diana of Diana Takes A Bite). This jazzed up bake sale featured goodies from bloggers all over Los Angeles and even your favorite LA hot spots donated boxes after boxes of baked treats. This was actually the second Eat My Blog event… the summer edition. The first one was held back in December of last year.
I was very honored to be part of Eat My Blog 2.0, albeit late in expressing my interest in participating. It was admirable to see bloggers and restaurant/bakery owners/representatives gather round Tender Greens working together for the same cause. No one was trying to outdo each other. No one was competing. Nobody was self-promoting. All participants put out an amazing array of products to entice foodies, passers-by, families, and fellow bloggers to fill up a pink box to help raise money for the LA Regional Foodbank.
I made Old-Fashioned Chocolate Doughnuts with Chocolate Glaze. Kitchen Runway brought her famous Salted Chocolate Caramel Bars. The Ravenous Couple dished out Che Xoi Nuoc (Mochi Dumplings in Ginger Syrup). I also got to meet other bloggers who donated tons of yummy food including Life With A Whisk, and Seeking Food. The Bakelab lady herself was there sporting the cutest shirt ever. Hip Cooks, Valerie Confections, Plaisir, Euro Pane and many more were also part of the event. It was a sensational bake sale and count me in to take part again on the next one.

What a spread of baked goodies!

I was so stoked to see the Lakers-inspired purple Cream Puffs from Plaisir.

Congratulations everyone on a job extremely well-done!

Kathy, what a wonderful recap of a sweet & exciting day. It was so much fun to see you again and share the day eating sweets. Loved your Old Fashioned Chocolate Donuts with Chocolate Glaze. Can’t believe my camera died =( so I’m happy that you were able to snap some pix to share with us!

What a great event–would love to participate in one here in the SF bay area sometime.
